WNA Garage Sales

In the summer of 2004 WNA held their first Neighborhood wide garage sale. Over 35 locations participated in the event. The weather was super and many new aqaintences were made. It was a great success.

The event was repeated in the spring of 2005 with over 47 locations paritcipating. Rainy weather dampend the sales for a couple days but in the end it was another great success.

For 2006 another Neighborhood Wide Garage Sale event was planned the second weekend of June, Thursday to Sunday. As before, participants enjoyed good sales.

2007 and 2008 Garage Sales were held the same weekends and WNA is planning on Sales in 2009 again.

This event is important to those living in our community and it brings people from all parts of Lincoln and the surrounding area into our neighborhood to see and appreciate the quality of life we have in the Witherbee Neighborhood.

2005 Spring Garage Sales.

The Witherbee Neighborhood Association had their neighborhood-wide garage sales again this year from June 9-12th. There were 47 locations on this year's list, 45 within the WNA area and 2 outside the WNA area. A $3.00 registration fee was collected to add your location to the list that also included days, hours, and short description of what was being sold. This list was posted on our website, as well as in advertisements in the Lincoln Journal Star and Thrifty Nickel. A flyer was printed to hand out at locations and this list appeared in our summer newsletter as well. The turnout seemed to be a little less than last year because of rainy weather. A volunteer 10% profit donation was proposed to all who participated.
